Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data a website keeps in your browser. FatRx uses one strictly necessary local storage entry and, only if you accept analytics, the Google Analytics 4 cookies listed below. No advertising cookies are used.
What is stored
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | When |
|---|---|---|---|---|
fatrx_consent | Local storage · strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie choice: a version number, whether analytics is allowed, and when you chose | Until you change your choice or clear site data | After you make a choice |
_ga | First-party cookie · analytics | Set by Google Analytics; used to distinguish users | 2 years (Google default) | Only after you accept analytics |
_ga_<container-id> | First-party cookie · analytics | Set by Google Analytics; used to persist session state | 2 years (Google default) | Only after you accept analytics |
Durations are Google's documented defaults. Browsers may shorten first-party cookie lifespans when you do not return to a site; Google cites a maximum of 400 days in Chrome and 7 days in Safari. Source: Google Analytics Help · GA4 cookie usage ↗
Your choices
- Accept allows Google Analytics. Decline keeps it off. Both buttons appear on your first visit, and you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie preferences” in the footer of every page.
- If you switch analytics off after allowing it, the site tells Google's tag that consent is denied, stops it from sending data and deletes the
_gacookies it set. - If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, FatRx treats it as a decline and does not load Google Analytics.
- You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
